Craniosacral therapy is a noninvasive hands on healing practice. It employs a light touch and a slow, meditative approach to process memory and trauma, whether physical or emotional, stored in the fascia and nervous system. In sessions we can guide the body into a deeper state of yielding, a place of pause where recovery and expansion can occur.
We can look at a wide range of ailments from the highly structural to the deeply esoteric. At its core, this work is about making space and coming home to the body. I feel strongly about sessions being client led: though I may ask questions, I aim to never push any client into a process that they do not want to go into.
I spent many years working as a musician, artist and caregiver and I extend great thanks to my many teachers of this modality: Gary Strauss, Hugh Milne, Etienne Piersman and Tri Chung. I also honor Gillian Walsh whom I received many craniosacral sessions from long before even considering becoming a practitioner.
I love this work for its ability to look at the whole picture of a client’s experience as an interconnected being, honor the innate intelligence of the body and unlock its ability to heal and process.
I see myself as a facilitator, a witness, a guide to a life free from constriction.
Sessions are 75 minutes and take place at my home in Highland Park. My fee is $100 though I reserve some sessions for sliding scale. Please contact me to discuss via this contact form.
